Awa Sowe joined Gilbert LLP in 2025. She works on complex commercial litigation matters focused primarily on insurance coverage disputes.

Prior to joining Gilbert, Awa was a Staff Attorney at Hollingsworth LLP, where she worked on products liability matters, gaining extensive experience in multidistrict litigation and other complex state and federal cases, including planning strategies for and drafting responses to written discovery requests and the identification, review, and production of electronic documents to comply with discovery rules.

Awa has also advocated on behalf of military veterans and their families in a federal class action seeking retroactive disability benefits. She received her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
