U.S. Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation

Gilbert attorneys have drafted and filed amicus curiae briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a wide range of organizations and scholars on a host of critical legal issues. In recent years, Gilbert has submitted briefs in major cases regarding the Affordable Care Act, affirmative action, the Fair Housing Act, and congressional redistricting. One of our briefs was cited in an opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts in Arizona State Legislature v. Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission. In addition, federal courts of appeal have appointed Gilbert attorneys to brief and argue issues on behalf of unrepresented litigants in appeals raising complex constitutional and civil rights issues.
