Adelle Settle works on complex commercial litigation matters focused primarily on insurance coverage disputes.
Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Adelle worked for the federal government for 15 years, including with the U.S. Army on employment discrimination matters and the Social Security Administration, where she adjudicated disability claims for the Appeals Council. She has also served as a law clerk for a small federal law enforcement agency, both within their Office of Legislative, Intergovernmental and Public Affairs, as well as the Office of General Counsel. She has experience working on large litigation and mass tort cases, including the Deepwater Horizon oil spill fund.
Adelle has extensive governmental experience, including composing Congressional testimony for Agency executive leadership, crafting policy and publishing regulations, creating and managing intergovernmental task forces, creating complex internal resources to improve attorney efficiency, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement new laws and regulations.
