Sara Ogrey Paralegal/Case Manager/Mitigation Specialist

Sara Ogrey joined the firm in 2019 and brings a broad depth of experience in paralegal support to Gilbert LLP.  She has significant experience dealing with deposition preparation, document and policy review, legal research, discovery, trial preparation and trial support, as well as drafting pleadings and managing client files.  She assists case teams on a wide range of matters, including mass tort, commercial insurance recovery, antitrust, and bankruptcy.

Additionally, Sara brings her unique knowledge and expertise of the American criminal justice system and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (“BOP”) to the firm’s post-conviction and prisoners’ rights pro bono matters.  As a certified Mitigation Specialist, Sara conducts social history investigations to inform complex mitigation strategies for incarcerated clients.  She also drafts re-entry plans and social history narratives for these clients, helps develop case strategy in post-conviction and prisoners’ rights cases, and supports the firm’s parole clients as they transition back to their communities.
