Thomas Bowles joined Gilbert LLP in 2025.  He represents corporate and individual clients in complex civil litigation and insurance recovery matters.  Prior to joining Gilbert, Thomas received his law degree from Georgetown University.  As a law student, he externed at the United States Department of Education, at a boutique civil rights firm in Cleveland, OH, and at a large corporate firm in Ohio.  At Georgetown, he participated in the Capital Defense Practicum and assisted in the appellate representation of a death row client.  Before law school, Thomas worked in public policy and campaign politics.

• Participating in settlement negotiations and litigating against dozens of insurers in Texas to recover insurance proceeds for the benefit of abuse survivors on behalf of a bankruptcy trustee.
• Drafting Chapter 11 bankruptcy motions and participating in adversary mediation regarding interest earned on escrow funds.
• Representing pro bono clients in housing and immigration disputes.
