Cohen Lawsuit Against Trump Organization Moves Forward

On August 28, the Commercial Division for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, ruled that Gilbert client Michael Cohen could move forward with his case against his former employer, the Trump Organization.

Mr. Cohen is claiming that the Trump Organization failed to indemnify and advance attorneys’ fees and costs on his behalf in connection with various investigations and legal proceedings.

Hunter Winstead, lead attorney on the matter for Gilbert, said, “We are pleased with the Court’s decision permitting Mr. Cohen’s case to proceed.  We intend to pursue the litigation vigorously and to obtain full payment of Mr. Cohen’s claims.”
