Gilbert Honored With Outstanding Achievement Awards

Gilbert LLP Branton Awards

Gilbert LLP was recently honored with two Outstanding Achievement Awards by the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs (“WLC”).

Michael Rush, Meredith Neely, and Janet Sanchez joined WLC in filing a lawsuit on behalf of female construction workers who experienced near-constant sexual harassment on the job. Their case resulted in a favorable settlement.

Another Gilbert team, along with the WLC and Democracy Forward, secured a preliminary injunction barring the Trump administration from conducting immigration enforcement at and around certain houses of worship.  The preliminary injunction currently protects over 5,500 individual churches, and the team is working to expand the relief and make it permanent.

The Gilbert “sensitive locations” team includes Rick Leveridge, Sonia Murphy, Brandon Levey, Samone Ijoma, Brittney Welch, Stephanie Seymour, and Lyric Burnett. More information regarding the injunction is available here.

Gilbert LLP is a Washington-based law firm specializing in litigation and strategic risk management, insurance recovery and complex dispute resolution.
