Gilbert LLP, a Washington, D.C. firm specializing in complex dispute resolution, announced today that Jon Dougherty, Of Counsel to the firm since 2022, has been elected as Secretary of the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless’ Board of Directors.

The Clinic’s mission is to use the law to make justice a reality for Washington area residents who struggle with homelessness and poverty.

Jon has served on the Clinic’s Board since 2021, when he was an attorney at Covington & Burling.  He is joined on the Board by Gilbert partner Daniel Wolf, who has served in that capacity since 2020.  For over two decades, Gilbert attorneys have provided legal counsel to Clinic staff and attorneys to address the many legal challenges associated with homelessness.

“I am honored to serve the WLCH, a vital legal aid organization serving the region’s most vulnerable residents, in a leadership capacity,” said Dougherty.  “I have been affiliated with the Legal Clinic for over a decade and look forward to contributing to its mission for years to come.”
