Gilbert LLP Commemorates 25th Year of Expert Legal Work

Gilbert LLP, a leader in complex dispute resolution, insurance law, and mass tort bankruptcy, launched its 25^th year anniversary today with plans to commemorate the milestone throughout 2026.

Kami Quinn, Gilbert LLP’s Chair, said: “Twenty-five years ago, this firm was born. Combining the forces of a gentleman litigator, a dean of the insurance coverage bar, and a maverick mass-tort expert, this new firm – originally Gilbert, Heintz & Randolph – aspired to more than legal greatness. It would be a different, better way to practice law.”

By any measure, Gilbert LLP has achieved that goal. Throughout its 25 years, the firm has carved new pathways in both the practice of the law and in law firm operations and management.

At the outset, Gilbert quickly became known as the “go-to” firm for insurance recoveries, and has pioneered countless settlement structures, mechanisms, and theories of coverage over the years. These innovations have produced unexpected victories and new precedents, which have enabled Gilbert to consistently secure greater recoveries for its clients. Indeed, over its quarter-century of innovation, the firm has secured more than $42 billion in insurance recoveries for its clients.

In recent years, the firm has brought its spirit of innovation to the mass tort bankruptcy. Under the direction of Ms. Quinn, who succeeded Scott Gilbert as Chair in 2022, the firm has taken a leadership role in navigating the complex intersection of mass tort law, evolving bankruptcy statutes, and the application of insurance law in bankruptcy recoveries. Gilbert pioneered this work in the aftermath of the national opioids litigation and now brings this expertise to clients pursuing claims in medical and other fields.
