December Huddleston Associate

December Huddleston joined Gilbert in 2021. She represents individuals and organizations in complex civil litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, December worked on civil litigation matters and projects involving site lease agreements and real estate in D.C. and Maryland.

December received her law degree from New York University School of Law. During law school, she participated in the Civil Litigation Employment Law Clinic and the Civil Rights Mass Incarceration Clinic where she counseled an incarcerated client during his parole interview and drafted an appeal which resulted in the client’s de novo parole hearing and release. She also worked as a Law Clerk at Orleans Public Defenders and as a Legal Intern at a prominent civil rights law firm in New York City. Prior to attending law school, December worked as Legal Assistant at a boutique employment law litigation firm in Washington, D.C.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Assisting in representing state and tribal entities in ongoing efforts to hold pharmaceutical companies liable for the damage they caused in the opioid epidemic.
  • Assisting in securing funds for individuals who endured torture at the hands of foreign governments.
  • Assisting in representing a bankruptcy trust in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and adversary proceedings to recover insurance proceeds for the benefit of personal injury claimants.
