Gilbert LLP Congratulates Two Associates on Receiving “Young Lawyers of the Year” Awards

Gilbert LLP is proud to announce that two of its associates, Ifenanya Agwu and December Huddleston, have been named 2025 Young Lawyers of the Year by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (“BADC”).

Ife and December are being recognized for their hard work and generosity in serving as Associate Coordinators for Legal Aid DC’s Making Justice Real Campaign, which raised a record breaking $4.2 million in support of Legal Aid’s mission to make justice real, in individual and systemic ways, for people living in poverty across the District.

Gilbert is sponsoring BADC’s 154th Annual Banquet & Awards Gala and has been a long time financial and leadership supporter of Legal Aid DC.

In a letter to the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Legal Aid DC President Vikram Swaruup said, “We are incredibly grateful to BADC for recognizing and nurturing these young lawyers to encourage them to continue sharing their talents, gifts, expertise and their knowledge of the rule of law with individuals who have fewer material comforts, giving them hope and opportunities for their own futures.”
